Description

Yes, I know, I’ve said it about other episodes in the past, sure, but I really mean it when I say this is one of my favorite episodes in Live From Bed history.

Catherine and I reaaaallllyyy went there. We talked about the politics of friendship when it comes to staying friends with someone your best friend hates.  And what about when your best friend maintains a friendship with someone who betrayed you? We discussed the fragile ties that bind us to those precious few for whom we choose to press the “follow back” button. I provided three scenarios and asked Catherine my favorite question: “would you follow them back?”

We got deep into the weeds of cheating by identifying the five types of cheaters, as well as the five ways people cheat. We shared our own experiences and the (shock and awe at) our differing opinions on traditional sayings like, ‘once a cheater always a cheater’ or ‘how you get ‘em is how you lose ‘em’.

We’re dying to hear which one of us you agree with ;).  And in a future part two of this episode, we’ll share our cheating stories as well as *yours* - so if you have a juicy one, DM me and you might hear it on the show…anonymously, of course, because snitches get stitches.

Tell Me About It is the podcast manifestation of all the “off-the-record” conversations we’ve had with other women about things we’re taught to stay silent about -- from stumbling through our twenties, rejections, heartbreaks, fertility struggles, mental health challenges, mistakes, and the cringey shame spirals that keep us up at night. Host Jade Iovine and her guests challenge the idea of social media perfected lives and get very real about all the less-than-perfect and inevitable shitty moments we all go through. Tell Me About It is here to remind us that we’re not alone… and that the women we constantly compare ourselves to ALSO have lives that are far from perfect.
