In this episode, we're heading to Ohtori Academy! Six months have passed since the prologue, and Utena is still trying to find her footing. She witnesses a heinous act committed by a Student Council member in their exclusive Rose Garden, but is interrupted by her best friend at Ohtori, Wakaba, before she can act upon it. Things escalate when a love letter is posted on a public bulletin board at school, and it turns out to be Wakaba's! Utena goes to defend her bestie's honor by confronting the object of the letter's obessesion, and is met with the Studen Council member that she oversaw in the Rose Garden! She challenges him to a sword fighting duel, and Utena discovers a secret that the Council has been harboring...
