In this episode, it's the start of our readthrough of Revolutionary Girl Utena! It's our first manga outside of the Sailor Moon universe, and we're SO excited! We start by listing our history with the manga & anime, or lack thereof, before getting into this plot: A super confident girl with pink hair named Utena Tenjou challenges her school's uniform policy by wearing a custom pink uniform that's usually reserved for the boys! Her aunt gets called to the principal's office, and we learn the tragedy that Utena's lost her parents when she was little. Later, Utena receives a letter from someone saying "they will meet" this year, and Utena's convinced it's from the person that saved her life shortly after her parents passed away. Her besties, Kaido, tells her that's crazy, but Utena begins to wonder...
