Description

In today´s episode I will be talking about Marianismo culture in Hispanic households from my own POV as a First-Gen Latina daughter. I will be breaking down the concepts within Marianismo, such as familismo; and how the expectations based on gender roles within Marianismo, may create feelings of guilt and low self-worth/esteem when trying to break apart. It’s time to forgo the belief systems that no longer serve us. I hope this perspective brings you insight as to why you may experience feelings of guilt, abandonment, and pressure as a Latina daughter.
