Our Partners: Anderson Windows & Modern Craftsman ROCKWOOL & Modern Craftsman Our Guest: Drew Reilley from Slash Creative, joins Nick and Tyler to talk about his experience in the graphic design field, and to break down our rebranding process for the Modern Craftsman logo. He explains how every small detail correlates with an aspect of that brand, and how important subliminal messaging is in delivering the essence of that specific business. In the Modern Craftsman’s case, the goal was to have a crisp, clean and professional product. Tyler also mentions trying to steer away from strictly being a strictly blue collar podcast, and expanding our audience reach. These all factor into the decisions made behind each aspect taken away or added from our previous logo. The previous logo is brought up in the podcast as Drew explains these choices, and how we got to our final product. The choice to have the shortened “MC” as the design was only possible because of our pre established online presence, and would not have been chosen if Modern Craftsman were a new company. Drew stresses the importance of working closely with Tyler and Nick for the entire process, to ensure the logo represented their vision for the Modern Craftsman, and to deliver something the both teams involved would be happy with.
