It's been no secret the Colorado Avalanche have had a rough time getting points over the past month culminating with a low point in losing to the worst team in the league, the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Avalanche needed to get back on track and they did so in a big way over the past two games. A 7-0 shutout against the Ottawa Senators and then a 6-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings.
