The Miami Hurricanes have landed UCF center Matt Lee in the transfer portal. Lee produced excellent grades as both a run blocker and pass blocker with the Golden Knights and he arrives in Coral Gables with two years of eligibility. He will likely be Miami’s starting center in 2023 but will compete with returning starter Jakai Clark for that position. Lee chose Miami over Oklahoma.

Despite rumors of an immediate return to Miami, Jackson has officially enrolled at Florida State as a transfer. Meanwhile, Miami is hoping to land a replacement in the form of Purdue’s Branson Deen or Arkansas’ Isaiah Nichols. 
Is this a critical week for the future of Miami’s coaching staff? Fans have been wondering since late November if offensive coordinator Josh Gattis will be retained. Donno expects firings in the NFL (creating new candidates) and conversations at this week’s coaching convention to potentially bear fruit for Miami. If Mario Cristobal decides to make any changes, this could likely be the week where he starts to map those out.
