Welcome back to the Sutta Meditation Series Podcast.
This is the DHAMMA TALK that was delivered to students (grade 9 and upwards) of a local international high school, via zoom, on 27 June 2021 - in response to an invitation to participate in their Dhamma Session.
The title of the Dhamma talk: "THE VALUE OF MENTAL STRENGTH - How to apply the Buddha’s Teachings to develop a strong mind".
This talk was given as an encouragement to lean on the Buddha's Teachings as medicine in order to develop one's mind to be healthy, and strengthen it by understanding what makes it weak; learning how to clean the mind when it becomes weak or sick; and the importance of cultivating wholesome mental states.
In this Dhamma Talk we examined:
What are some of the current challenges?
How does the world define mental strength & mental weakness?
How does the Buddha define mental strength & mental weakness?
How can we apply some of the Buddha’s medicine to strengthen the mind?
