The Context of White Supremacy welcomes the return of Marques Travae. Although born in the US, Travae moved to Brazil and lived there for years. He's been back in the states for a little over a year. We've spoke with him about White Supremacy/Racism in South America a number of times over the years. Gus checked on his work following the death of beloved footballer Pelé. The 82-year-old soccer legend was honored all over the world - even while Whites acknowledged the Racism Pelé endured for the duration of his life. We'll discuss the response to his passing in Brazil and what non-white people around the world should know about this Victim of White Supremacy. We'll also discuss the new Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Former president Jair Bolsonaro skipped the normal transfer of power and drowned his misery in the Florida sunshine. Travae seems to think this new ruler does not represent an improvement and should not be a beacon of hope for black Brazilians.
