Description

In this, our final look into Dwarfen culture, we explore the incredible capacity the Dwarfs have for making war. We start with a list of dwarf warriors and regiments, from Thunderers and Longbeards, to Ironbreakers and Slayers, and the function they fill within the armies of each hold. We continue on into their war machines, both artillery such as the very aptly named Grudgethrower and the Gyrocopter and Gyrobomber airships, and discuss the engineering runes. Finally, we explore the three types of heroic Dwarf that occupy leadership positions in the Karak Ankor; Nobles (Kings and Thanes), Runesmiths, and Engineers.

A monthly podcast focussing on the lore of the sprawling Warhammer Fantasy universe. With tongues firmly in cheeks we will help you to separate ghouls from goblins, snotlings from skaven stormfiends, and bonesplitters from beastclaw raiders ... this last pair was a test, they’re from Age of Sigmar and not Warhammer. See? Laying Down The Lore is the podcast you didn’t even know you needed! Join Ben and Cral, a couple of self-confessed Warhammer noobs, as they journey into a fantasy institution guided by ageing fanboy Darren as he attempts to distil and summarise 30 years worth of Warhammer knowledge into bite-sized chunks. Informative, irreverent, and largely irrelevant, Laying Down The Lore will come to be your indispensable guide to the world of Warhammer.
