Description

Welcome to episode 154 of the Löw Tide Böyz - A Swimrun Podcast! This week we have the second of our three “year in review” episodes to look back on what has been by all accounts an epic year of Swimrunning. Joining us this week to talk about their amazing year are the American super team of Marcus Barton and Kawika Tarayao, A.K.A. Team Envol Spam Fika.In this conversation we chat about how Beek and Marcus teamed up (spoiler alert: Nicolas Remires was involved,) how they trained while in different time zones, their diabolical race schedule leading to (and through) ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship, their awesome performance yielding a top ten finish at the World Championship, and what the future holds for them. It was so cool to see their development as a team throughout the year and we had a blast cheering them on. We expect continued excellence from Marcus and Beek as they take on 2023 with the same enthusiasm. That’s it for this week’s show.
