Description

If you’ve been thinking about writing a book, let’s demystify the process. This episode shines a light on a few of the things that can make it a little less scary so you can actually write your book.  Candice L. Davis is the book coach behind my first published book, Artpreneur. We’re diving in and sharing many of the moments I’ve experienced becoming a published author and what Candice has seen many authors struggle with. It’s hard to take the first step when you think you’re the only one struggling with certain things. It’s easier when you see what’s possible in spite of your perceived challenges and learn there’s support and a way around the real and perceived challenges of writing your first book.  “You can become a great writer; these are just skills. It's a set of skills that you can develop” - Candice L. Davis  Things that will encourage you to write your book:  The challenges holding you back are common to many first-time writers  Writing a book for a publisher is a different kind of pressure, but it’s also rewarding  Releasing a published book is a team effort not a solo sport, get the help you need early  Writing a book takes much longer than I had anticipated, and it was a completely different experience than I believed it would be. Releasing a published book is truly like a birthing process, with pain and moments of frustration, but thankfully you get a whole team supporting the birth of your book if you take the traditional publishing route. The process and experience is so worth it in the end. I wish it for all of you wanting to share your message.  “Whatever you're creating, find a way to do it from a place of joy and desire.” - Candice L.
