Description
Stephen Semmelroth was in the Army for 6+ years, and he served in Afghanistan and the Army's Cyber Corps, where he led a red team and a threat intelligence team defending US assets across an entire continent. Unfortunately, he broke his back while on a mission which left him paralyzed, and he had to relearn how to walk. After retiring from the Army, he founded Rainier Cyber, a cybersecurity recruiter that matches Cyber Vets with tech jobs across the county, which was acquired by StrataCore in 2020. Stephen holds CISSP, PMP, GSNA, GCIA, and GPEN cyber security certificates, and he mentors between 200-300 people annually in the cybersecurity space. Today, Stephen is the VP of Cyber at StrataCore. This IT services broker helps companies source high-quality technologies that drive their enterprise forward faster, at the lowest prices and best contract terms. They have 300+ clients, including organizations like World Vision, Zillow, Getty Images, Electronic Arts, and NortonLifeLock, and they have brokered 2500+ technology contracts worldwide. Stephen shares his story with me and discusses a rise in global conflict necessitates a review of cybersecurity best practices.
