Martin Kaut was placed on waivers for the second time this season, and Sampo Ranta was sent back down to the Colorado Eagles. As of our recording, no players were called up to replace them.
Couple that with video of Val Nichushkin going close to full speed in practice, should we expect to see the big Avalanche forward tonight against the Rangers? His services would be oh so welcome right now.
In addition to Nichushkin, Artturi Lehkonen, Darren Helm and Evan Rodrigues were all skating in non-contact jerseys. So with all of those negatives of Avs players getting injured and missing time, it's nice to hear the opposite happening.
