Traditionally, the turn-based combat found in JRPGs has been designed according to the convention that the computer controls the actions of enemy creatures in combat while a human controls a party of protagonists. AVARIAvs does away with this by having humans control both sides, creating an usual gameplay experience that opposes the common model.
