Bob Bert was part of a stellar generation that got to see the likes of The Talking Heads, The Cramps, The Gun Club, Ramones, just to name a few, come up in the mid/late 70s New York. Bert witnessed some of the most influential bands, but also participated in some of the most influential bands of his generation. That being Sonic Youth in the early/mid 80's. I can honestly say without a shred of doubt, that Sonic Youth are one of my favorite groups, so the honor and privilege to speak to this legend was simply mind blowing! After Sonic Youth, Bert went on to participate in groups such as Pussy Galore, Bewitched, Chrome Cranks and Lydia Lunch.
