Description

Welcome back to Conduct Detrimental! Dan Lust is joined by Tarun to bring you up to speed on the latest in sports law. Amanda Christovich (@achristovichh) joins to discuss the latest updates in the NIL space. (6:18) The NCAA has released clarifications to their NIL guidelines which prohibit universities from assisting their student-athletes from obtaining NIL deal. Also, this prevents schools from assisting student-athletes in resources for contract review, tax preparation, or graphic designing.  Amanda sees these clarifications as outright new guidelines/rules. Amanda also gives insight on the very important case against the NCAA regarding concussion liability. (19:30) Gee v. NCAA has kicked off their trail.  Matthew Gee was a former USC football player who later died from CTE. Amanda has been following the case very closely and gives great insight. Dan and Conlan are back with the betting segment sponsored by Bettor Edge. (36:57) Make sure that you head over to bettoredge.com and use the promo code "Conduct" for $20 free for bets or go to bettoredge.com/conduct. *** Have a topic you want to write about?
