Today's episode features masters prepared registered dietitian nutritionist and certified nutrition support clinician, Melanie Rodich, MS, RDN, LD, CNSC.  Melanie serves as the pediatric intensive care unit dietitian at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, University Hospitals of Cleveland, where she has the unique opportunity of following her patients from the ICU to the stepdown unit and then on an outpatient basis. Melanie shares experiences writing and implementing several of the feeding protocols for the heart center, including but not limited to the Single Ventricle Feeding Protocol, Tube Feed Weaning Protocol for infants and children and Breast Milk Skimming Protocol. Listen in as she shares her unique experiences as a pediatric cardiology dietitian and offers advice for others working in or aspiring to work in the field.
