Join DNS DPG as we discuss a day in the life of a clinical nutrition manager with registered dietitian nutritionist, Melissa Maxim, MS, RDN.  Melissa has been a registered dietitian for 15 years, working mostly in acute care hospitals including LifePoint Hospitals, Riverside Health System and most recently, the Bon Secours Mercy Health System. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, followed by a Master of Science degree and Dietetic Internship Program at West Virginia University.  Melissa has served in a clinical nutrition leadership role for the last 14 years, overseeing both inpatient and outpatient nutrition programs. Key roles and responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, successful implementation of a comprehensive malnutrition program with revenue capture, providing support for both site-level and system-level clinical nutrition initiatives, ERAS, RD order writing, and early identification and implementation of nutrition interventions in both the acute care and critical care settings.
