Description

The Transtheoretical Model is used to assess a client's readiness for change and guide them through the stages of change when it comes to diet and lifestyle. Research shows that supporting an individuals’ stages of change and readiness for change can increase their overall self-efficacy (ability to make decisions). Research also supports the effectiveness of using the TTM in prevention of chronic diseases and promotion of physical activity.
