Baylor football has a shot to win the Big 12 championship this season over Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Texas and Kansas. That shot is strictly based on math. Dave Aranda’s squad has a greater-than-zero chance of winning the conference, and that’s what makes this statement true. 
Behind the technicalities, this statement’s odds of coming true are bleak. With Kansas, TCU and Kansas State all ranked and still ahead of the Bears, the toughest gauntlet of the season is still ahead of this team. That’s not a positive. 
Following a double-digit loss to Oklahoma State, a look down the road is not a promising one for the Bears. Even some unranked opponents left on the docket, such as Oklahoma and Texas, still pose real threats to this team.
