Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll spoke to the media for the first time since the Jamal Adams trade and kicked off the preseason by taking questions from the media. Carroll talked about the addition of Adams to the defense, what it means for last year's second-round pick Marquise Blair and his expectations for the rest of the secondary. He also talks about first-round pick Jordyn Brooks and what he sees as the rookie's best path to a starting spot in 2020. Will Dissly worked hard this offseason and it shows by the fact that he was able to pass his physical to start camp. Pete closes out by talking about the discipline players will have to demonstrate to be able to help protect the team leading up to and through the 2020 season.
