Description

Kara Collier, the Director of Nutrition at Nutrisense, is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Nutrition Support Clinician who specializes in glucose control and metabolism. Kara, drawn to the power of continuous glucose monitors (CGM's), has meticulously experimented with various foods and the impact they would have on her blood glucose levels. By having real-time data tracked over years on a spreadsheet, CGM's have been indispensable tool that has helped (& continues to!) fine-tune her diet. With her previous experience working in traditional hospital institutions and becoming fed up with the shortcomings of standard care (recalling regular instances where metabolically-impaired patients were given soda & highly processed foods), Kara knew that truly personalized nutrition was the future - and she is working tirelessly to spread the message. For example, the effects of intermittent fasting between men and women seem to differ in substantial ways that are recently coming into light.
