I absolutely LOVE this conversation I had with my friend Dani all about sobriety, addiction, AA, recovery and her book, Journey Back to You. We dive deep into the mindset, struggles & stigmas associated with recovery + sobriety. Danielle (Dani) McCarron is a fierce recovery advocate, determined to help people learn how to heal themselves and live a life of freedom. Her book, “Journey Back to You: A guide to meeting your authentic self”, outlines simple tools and her signature coaching program for living an authentic life and finding that freedom. She has been in recovery from alcohol and substance-use disorder, as well as codependency and disordered eating since July 4, 2014. She is a recovery coach, completing her Master of Science in Health Coaching and is currently a PhD student in Mind-Body Medicine, specializing in Mindful Leadership in Healthcare. Her passion for helping others recover from addiction and self-sabotaging behaviour has led her to become the Executive Director at Greenestone Muskoka, an addiction treatment center in Muskoka, Ontario.
