We start the podcast with a focus on the Guardians losing three of four to the Mariners. We dig into stats and talk about Owen Miller. Miller in April and March was one of the best hitters on the team. Since then he has struggled with his bat and depending on the stats his glove. We talk about reverse splits and why it is that Miller is part of the team's continued struggles against left handers. We also can’t help but focus on the success Franmil Reyes has found in Chicago as he is exactly what this team needs right now. 

We talk about the overall frustration of the loss on Friday night. It was a game where the Guardians left the winning run on third three innings in a row. They often left the runner there with more than one out. This game was one that felt like they were going to lose, as the offense just could not get it going consistently.

We end by looking at the Sunday loss where the offense was offensive and the Saturday win which saw them pick up one win in this series. The truth is the offense was really unproductive and things do not get easier with the Baltimore Orioles on deck and the Seattle Mariners in the hole as the Cleveland Guardians hold onto a narrow lead in the division. They are up just two games over the Minnesota Twins and the division still stands their best path to the playoffs.
