1. Jose Ramirez is clearly hurt there, we said it. Since his thumb injury against the Colorado Rockies. His wRC+ has dropped 120 points and he has been a below-league-average bat. We talk about the effect it has had on the lineup and why it might be better for him to rest. We also get into the shock of seeing Ernie Clement as a pinch hitter. Clement is a great guy, I have heard. He has the speed and defense to be a solid major leaguer. Since the Colorado series he has a wRC+ of -42, and throughout the season has one of the lowest wRC+ in baseball.

2. We talk about the first game. The Guardians managed just two hits against a player the Tigers chose not to roster this offseason. Hill might not be a Tiger if there had been a Rule 5, so it is not just the Guardians benefiting. We talk about the Naylor injury and the offensive struggles in general outside of Naylor. We also give kudos to Zach Plesac for another solid outing.

3. We talk about the second loss of the day which puts the Chicago White Sox just 1.5 games behind the Guardians. It was another game of offensive struggles but the pitching was also an issue in this game. We talk about the players who are performing in the minors and why Alex Call, Will Brennan, and Nolan Jones should all be gaining consideration for this Guardians roster while injuries appear to be piling up and other players struggle to produce.
