As we near NHL Free Agency, the Montreal Canadiens have taken care of many items on their to-do list. They started the day with signing Corey Schueneman to a one-year, two-way contract extension. They then extended Michael Pezzetta's contract for one year. Finally, they extended qualifying offers to Kirby Dach, Samuel Montembeault, Nate Schnarr, Cayden Primeau, and Joël Teasdale. However, they did not qualify Rem Pitlick. We share our thoughts as to why the Habs made the above choices. We also look at who might be available to the Habs in free agency on Wednesday. Plus: we've been asked to address Shane Wright's response to the Habs not drafting him first overall and we try to put the Wright vs Slafkovsky debate to bed once and for all.
