The Habs won on Wednesday night in Newark over the New Jersey Devils 3-2 on the back of another strong Samuel Montembeault start and some timely goalscoring from their top line. Juraj Slafkovsky stayed red-hot as he opened the scoring off an electric assist from Cole Caufield, while Joshua Roy used his smarts to bury his first NHL goal as well. Despite the penalty kill slowing the team down, a late goal from Cole Caufield made the difference as Montreal secured two points in regulation.
