Description
Washington State is looking to string together consecutive winning seasons for the first time since 2017-18 in the midst of 4 straight seasons over .500 in Pullman. Jake Dickert comes into his first full season with a new OC and a new QB in Eric Morris and Cam Ward, who come over from an FCS school in Incarnate Word. With 4 of their first 5 games of the year at home, another winning season may just be in the cards for the Cougars in 2022.
On today's episode of Locked On Pac-12, Spencer McLaughlin looks at how Washington State may fair after a 7-6 record in the 2021 campaign. With two games that should easily be wins in addition to a TOUGH non-conference game @ Wisconsin, the Cougs have a chance to enter conference play at 2-1. Their conference slate has some advantages mixed into a series of tough league games.
Having to play all 3 of Oregon, USC, and Utah as a Pac-12 North team is not on any fan's dream list, but having 2 of the 3 at home could help Washington State pull an upset of one of the 3 preseason conference favorites. After finishing 7-5 in the regular season last year, could the end of their schedule allow for a repeated result?
