Description

Paul Holdengräber is joined by Jordan Morgan on episode 107 of The Quarantine Tapes. Jordan works with the UK conflict resolution NGO Forward Thinking. He talks to Paul about his experiences working in conflict resolution in the Middle East as well as his work to empower young people with care experience in the UK. Paul and Jordan dig into the issues that have been raised by the ongoing COVID crisis for conflict resolution work. Jordan explains how one of the challenges of this crisis is how it has derailed our ability to meet in person, when in-person human contact is an essential element in conflict resolution. Jordan is the Middle East Programme Manager for the London based conflict resolution NGO Forward Thinking. He manages Forward Thinking’s Israeli and Palestinian programmes which aim to deliver intensive and expansive processes of political dialogue and high-level mediation in the region. In the past, Jordan managed Forward Thinking’s UK Programmes advising grassroots Muslim communities on how to engage with both the Establishment (parliamentarians, policy makers and the national media) and wider British society without fearing the loss of their faith identity. He was formerly a researcher at a think tank specialising in political violence and currently serves as a trustee of the Drive Forward Foundation. He read Geography at Aberystwyth University and holds an MA in Geopolitics, Territory and Security from King’s College London.Credits:Paul Holdengraber - Co-Creator, Host, OLA DirectorAnthony Audi - Co-Creator, Researcher, OLA DirectorAlejandro Cohen - Co-Creator, Producer, ComposerChristian Pitt - Production Coordinator Erin Cooney - Copy, ProductionDublab Team
