Native Dallasite Michael Martin is a passionate and experienced leader for the widespread adoption of clean and safe solar power.
He wasn’t always this way as his first 2+ professional decades were in various business development roles in software/IT market segments.  Upon becoming a solar entrepreneur in 2010, he likewise began advising start up companies in the areas of strategy, value proposition, sales and marketing, partnerships, go to market and pitching. These are his areas of knowledge and experience that he loves to put to good use with promising people and companies.
In parallel throughout his professional journey, Michael has been active, including board service and volunteering, with a wide range of non-profits such as schools, social service agencies, cancer foundations and environmental groups.  Michael’s life is only complete when it includes doing good work serving his community…and when there is some fun involved!
Michael Martin has a long-standing passion for renewable energy. This is his calling to high-impact, purpose-driven work. After 20+ years doing cool and valuable B2B stuff in the information technology sector, Michael began his solar career in 2010 as founder/EVP of utility solar company Principal Solar, where he developed approximately 280 megawatts of projects valued at $500 million. Now, he directs his energy into serving early commercial solar adopters who are ready to lead with clean and safe on-site solar power in his home state of Texas. Michael has always been motivated to help companies adopt high-value solutions that enhance their positions as market and community leaders.  When not doing these things, Michael is likely on his road bike at White Rock Lake or involved in some community service work…
