The Locked On Cougars Podcast for Tuesday, June 15, 2021

Tuesday on the podcast featured an extended look at the 1965 BYU football campaign as part of the 100 Seasons of BYU Football Countdown. Jake Hatch explained what happened under Tommy Hudspeth's leadership to take the Cougars from worst to first and their first-ever conference title as champions of the WAC

Mel Olson then joined Jake to talk about his memories of playing with the legend Virgil Carter as well as the 1965 WAC title before explaining what went into his becoming a pioneer of sorts by serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during his playing days and why he made that decision to serve when it wasn't a popular one.

Finally, the podcast wrapped up with other BYU news, including a celebration of Marion Probert as we are now 81 days away from the start of the 2021 BYU football season, as well as a new graduate transfer into the BYU women's volleyball program and 11 women's soccer players earning All-WCC academic honors
