Description
On today's episode, Jason kicks things off by sharing his thoughts on the blockbuster trade in the NFL that saw Carson Wentz dealt from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Indianapolis Colts. On the surface, it would appear to be a clear win for Indy, but dig a little deeper and the move seems like a wash for both sides. The Colts are more likely to miss the playoffs altogether in 2021 than they are to suddenly become a Super Bowl contender. What's more, the oddsmakers in Vegas aren't convinced that the Colts are demonstrably better with Wentz under center than they were with the old man Philip Rivers last season. From Philadelphia's perspective, they're back to square one without a definitive franchise quarterback on their roster. The only saving grace is that at least now they'll have the draft capital to try and rebuild the offensive line and wide receiving core that played such a big role in Wentz' undoing. Later, Producer Rob joins the show to discuss the Brooklyn Nets' beatdown of the Los Angeles Lakers. James Harden was phenomenal, but it was the 'other guys' bombing away from deep that forced LeBron James to watch most of the fourth quarter from the bench in a blowout. Either way, with no Kevin Durant and no Anthony Davis, it's hard to take much away from this game. However, the Lakers weren't the only team to get embarrassed on national television tonight. Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks have now lost 5 in a row, and it seems like a matter of time before changes are made in Milwaukee.
