Description

On today's episode, Jason does a deep dive on all the wheeling and dealing that went on Monday in the NBA. The biggest news by far was the Milwaukee Bucks working deep into the night to acquire guards Jrue Holiday and Bogdan Bogdanovic. Did the Bucks give up a ton of roster depth and a billion first round picks to make the deals happen? Yes. Will the moves inspire superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to sign a super-max contract extension in Milwaukee? Probably. Do either of those things make the Bucks more likely to win a title in the suddenly crowded East? Nope. In the end, it all may end up being much ado about nothing. The sneakiest move - and likely most impactful - was made by the Portland Trailblazer. They were able to acquire Robert Covington from the Houston Rockets, giving them the big wing defender they desperately needed. Don't be surprised to see the Blazers back in the top-4 of the Western Conference. But, perhaps the biggest move of the offseason is the one that is still yet to be made: James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets. Rumor has it Harden is trying to force his way to Brooklyn, but should Houston give in to his demands? Producer Rob joins the show to discuss the issue, and explain why he thinks the Rockets may send The Beard somewhere else just out of spite. Plus, ESPN college basketball analyst Fran Fraschilla swings by to explain why he's calls the 2020 NBA Draft a 'smoke and mirrors draft' that's being overanalyzed by members of the media, why University of Washington big man Isaiah Stewart would be a perfect fit with the Miami Heat, why James Wiseman reminds him of a young David Robinson and why he's really hoping that big man lands with the Golden State Warriors, why concerns about Anthony Edwards' defense are a tad overblown considering most rookies can't play NBA-level defense anyways, why he believes LaMelo Ball could slide all the way down to the New York Knicks with the #8 overall pick, why he believes Duke swingman Cassius Stanley could wind up being the steal of the draft, and much more!
