Welcome to the Behind the Business podcast. A new music business focused podcast where I chat with an eclectic mix of people from the music business about them, what they do and why they do it.
This episodes chat is with Mike Burgess. Mike has spent time in a number of different areas of the business. He has been a producer/remixer/creator as well as working in radio and in artist management and artist development. He has his own label and has worked with an interesting mix of varied performers an writers.
Mike has recently launched a new project Sound with Mike (see links below). The service is a creative consultancy where he offers his time and input into creative projects. He is also running assorted workshops and events in the Manchester area as well.
We met back in March 2018 to talk about his career and his thoughts and opinions on the current state of the music business.
