From 2016 to 2021, we experienced a digital presence that amplified and normalised troll-like behaviour from a democratically elected world leader. We discuss the impact and the role social media companies can and should have in restricting such content. As well as our roles as content creators and users.In 2021, we are experiencing what it feels like to be online after Trump has been deplatformed. But we also know that this game of whack-a-mole is not a long-term viable solution. We close out this episode with an open-ended question. What is the solution to content moderation?
