About our Guest:
PAULO GOMES was born in Portugal, Lisbon and received his degree in Psychology and Psychology of Organizations at Lisbon University.
Paulo followed his passion into the multi facets of fashion including the many parts to the creation of textile - color, image, photography, manufacturing, and so much more.
Paulo’s diverse expertise goes to all aspects of fashion:
· Professor at CITEM Fashion School ,
· Jury of Master in Fashion thesis at University of Lisbon,
· Fashion Director of Lisbon Fashion Week (ModaLisbo),
· an author & Creative Director for 86-60-86 - a fashion television magazine
· Mentor of Project Runway Portugal
· Mentor of a EcoLab between Universidade Nova de Lisboa, LMA (textile portuguese company) EccoLab (univ de Aveiro) e Manifesto Moda, to develop new green fiber solutions for the fashion system, namely bacterial cellulose called Cell Textil.
· Creative Director of Manifesto Moda.
· Fashion Art Director & Stylist in Marie Claire, Elle, Maxima/Madame Figaro and some other distinguished fashion magazines
· Fashion contributor for UP-TAP inflight magazine and fashion stylist for FLuxury magazine and Green Circle magazine
Paulo’s passion for fashion expanded to sustainability. He was mentor and co-founder of iTechStyle Green Circle, a sustainable fashion and textile project showcasing “green solutions”. This was presented in many textile trend shows in the world: Neonyt (Berlin), Première Vision (Paris), HeimTextile (Frankfurt), ISPO (Munich), Munich Frabric Start (Munich), Moma (Madrid), Modtissimo (Porto, Portugal), Febratextil (Blumenau, Brasil)…
Stylist for numerous Portuguese commercial clients (advertising and catalogs): Lemon Jelly, El Corte Inglès, Multiópticas, Amoreiras Shopping Center, Strada Shopping Mall, L’Oreal, Chiado N8, Wrong Weather, Salsa Jeans, Radio Popular, Fashion Clinic, among others.
He is also the Creative Director & Stylist for several runway shows: Fashion Week Lisbon, El Corte Inglès, Elite Model Look, SuperModel of the Year, Macau Fashion Link, Africa Moov, São Tomé Fashion Week.
Paulo has worked with most renowned photographers and Fashion designers, manufacturers, and retailers from around the world.
