Description

This week we are talking to Tia from @crimsonthecavapoo! Tia and her one year old, red male cavapoo, CrimSon, have made their purpose to amplify the Black voice for pet parents and pet industries on their Instagram. CrimSon is a pandemic puppy who came into Tia's life at the perfect time. The pandemic was beginning to take a large toll on her mental health and she was in a low place. When she brought CrimSon home, she immediately realized that he needed a routine, and therefore, she needed a routine. She says taking care of CrimSon has become a part of her own self-care and that she takes pride in his well-being because it is a direct reflection of her own. Beyond being an inspiration for Tia's mental health and a vehicle to promote diversity in the pet industry, CrimSon is also a little ball of energy that can't get enough fetch time!Find Karoline on Instagram @dogmommentalityThis series is for fun, but if you would like to support me hosting it on podcast platforms ( & support Layla’s frisbee fund) check out our Buy Me A Coffee Sign up for the DMM newsletter! Owning a dog can teach us valuable lessons that we utilize beyond life with a dog. Because of this, Karoline loves to take the familiarity of owning a pet and relating those experiences to emotional well-being and more raw topics on her social platforms and podcast. Her goal is to make new dog owners feel less alone, give hope for those problems people thought they couldn’t solve, and match words to how their dog is acting or how they are feeling. This podcast is catered for those who have been emotionally affected, inspired, and empowered from owning a dog. For all the dog pictures and relatable content, follow @dogmommentality.
