    On May 21, 2016, I talked with Pete Clemente, who witnessed the Joe DiMaggio Yankee years as a rabid fan and then became a semi pro pitcher who was offered a contract by the Pirates. He shared memories and thoughts about his baseball life.
    I got word that Pete died today. In his honor, I am replaying this conversation with this kind and generous man.
