Description

This episode is the first part of a conversation about meditating upon the Scriptures. In this series we will explore what the Bible has to say about biblical meditation, what it means, and discuss some tools on how to do it practically. In this first part we discuss how one of the big things the Holy Spirit does in our lives is that He takes the Scriptures and makes them real to us. He takes what is objectively true and gives us eyes to see it as a subjective reality in our own lives. It is one thing to agree with the Bible. It is another thing entirely to believe it!**Clarification: Around 21 minutes I say something to the effect of “The Holy Spirit will take the Scriptures and move it from here to here.” During the first “here” I was pointing to my head. During the second “here” I was pointing to my heart.**I also went through a lot of verses in this lesson, many of which the original hearers had already spent time reading and studying; so, they were already very familiar with them. I will include the verses I discuss here as well.Ephesians 1:15-21.1 Corinthians 2:9-13.2 Timothy 2:7.Psalm 119:18.Psalm 119:130.Luke 24:27, 32, 45.Feel free to email any questions or comments you have to ijustwanttotalkabout@gmail.com.
