Description

**Trigger Warning: This podcast is highly sensitive in nature and contains sexually explicit content that may be disturbing to some. If you’ve got children in the room or if you have been affected by sexual abuse, you may choose to skip this one.    Carré Otis is a model, an author, a wellness consultant and coach, and an activist–fighting for gender equality, women’s rights, and an end to injustice of all kinds. Her memoir, Beauty Disrupted, documents the struggles that led to her spiritual practice, including trauma resulting from sexual assault at age 17 by her then-agent Gerald Marie, a prominent figure in the modeling industry. She is the co-founder of Victorious Angels, a collective of survivors of abuse perpetrated by Gerald Marie and Jean Luc Brunel fighting for legal changes to help bring perpetrators to justice. She is also on the Leadership Council of the Model Alliance, a non-profit working to establish fair labor standards for models, and the U.S. Ambassador for Knock Out Abuse, which supports survivors of domestic violence. Carré’s strong commitment to helping others reclaim physical and emotional health has inspired her work with the Bare Mama Project, which she co-founded with Sarah Spinner to provide a shame-free approach to transforming one’s relationship with alcohol, and as a certified coach with This Naked Mind.  If You Enjoy The Thought Room Please Subscribe and Give Us a 5-Star Rating ★★★★★ and Review on Apple Podcasts.
