Description

Welcome to Episode 367. In this episode we are joined by Joe Stark of Starkcast and Number One Comic Books.
In Good Pop Bad Pop for movies this week we talk about the new film Malcom & Marie by Sam Levinson (Euphoria, Assassination Nation) starring Zendaya and John David Washington. Brian talks about a Showgirls documentary You Don’t Nomi. Joe talks about The Silencing on Amazon Prime where a reformed hunter living in isolation on a wildlife sanctuary becomes involved in a deadly game of cat and mouse when he and the local Sheriff set out to track a vicious killer who may have kidnapped his daughter years ago. We all watched another Amazon Prime Video original movie in Bliss. This one stars Salma Hayek and Owen Wilson. Brian and Joe discuss the new Pat Morita documentary More Than Miyagi: The Pat Morita Story. Netflix dropped a violent Polish comedy All My Friends Are Dead. Brian talks about the new film Our Friend. Jake and Brian talk about the new Justin Timberlake Apple TV+ Original Movie, Palmer as well as the new Ghibli Studios animated film Earwig and the Witch.
In Television we talk about SyFy’s new series based on the Dark Horse comic book Resident Alien starring Alan Tudyk. Resident Alien follows a crash-landed alien named Harry who takes on the identity of a small-town Colorado doctor and slowly begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his secret mission on Earth.
In News director Chloe Zhao is going to be working on a new Dracula film which sounds insane. Also, we learned that the Legend of Zelda live-action series has been canned.
In Marvel News Blade has a writer attached and it looks like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will get an appearance by Don Cheadle.
In DC News will Henry Cavill appear in the Shazam sequel, Fury of the Gods? And it looks like James Gunn has wrapped on The Suicide Squad and he has some wonderful things to say about Warner Bros.
And finally, a WandaVision Episode 5 “On a Very Special Episode” discussion.

Every week we bring you the latest news in Movies and Television. It's friends getting together and talking about what they love or hate in the genre. We aren't experts, we're not critics, we're not writers but we are FANS! We're called The Leftovers for a reason. We're like Danny DeVito in Twins. All the talent and originality went into the other podcasts. All the crap that was left over...went into what you listen to on this show. We talk about the latest movies in MARVEL like Spider-Man: No Way Home, Thor: Love and Thunder, Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. DC movies like The Batman, The Flash, Black Adam. And all the STAR WARS movies. But we also cover other blockbusters and don't shy away from indie films as well. We breakdown and discuss new trailers for upcoming movies. And we got you covered in television with shows like Moon Knight, The Boys, Umbrella Academy, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Cobra Kai, Stranger Things, The Mandalorian, Halo, The Last of Us, She-Hulk, Hawkeye, Loki, Secret Invasion Ironheart, Ms. Marvel, The Book of Boba Fett, Peacemaker, The Walking Dead and more. We love to review the first episodes of most shows and let you know if it's worth your time. So strap yourself in and have a good time! Strap yourself in? Really? Just listen. No straps required. Unless you're into that sort of thing.
