Description

Welcome to Episode 372. In this episode we are joined by the one and only Handy Greg. At the top of the episode we do go over the winners of the SpongeBob movie contest!
In Good Pop Bad Pop for movies this week Brian talks about the new Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman movie The Father. We all watched Cherry on Apple TV+ starring Tom Holland. Cherry drifts from college dropout to army medic in Iraq – anchored only by his true love, Emily. But after returning from the war with PTSD, his life spirals into drugs and crime as he struggles to find his place in the world. Brian and Jake talk about the new documentary on Hulu from Soleil Moon Frye in Kid 90 which is an intimate look at young Hollywood starlets growing up in the 1990s, using hundreds of hours of footage captured by Soleil Moon Frye. And Brian and Greg discuss Land the new film directed by Robin Wright.
In TV this week we discuss the new episode of Assembled: The Making of WandaVision on Disney+. Jake and Greg discuss Condor on Epix starring Max Irons who plays a brilliant, young, idealistic CIA analyst finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy that kills everyone else at his office. Can he, with no field experience, stay alive long enough to get to the bottom of it? We all watched The One on Netflix . Love — and lies — spiral when a DNA researcher helps discover a way to find the perfect partner, and creates a bold new matchmaking service.
In News the director of the upcoming Mortal Kombat movie talks about fatalities in the upcoming film and it has us concerned.
In Marvel News more set photos and videos of Thor: Love and Thunder are out there. We’re learning more about WandaVision with each interview. And Ryan Coogler talks about the struggles of going forward with Black Panther 2 without Chadwick Boseman.
In DC News we’ve got an official Flash casting. The Snyder Cut was accidentally playing for some HBO Max users who were trying to watch Tom & Jerry.
And in Star Wars news someone talks about the director switch for Solo and we aren’t blown over by the lack of reveals.

Every week we bring you the latest news in Movies and Television. It's friends getting together and talking about what they love or hate in the genre. We aren't experts, we're not critics, we're not writers but we are FANS! We're called The Leftovers for a reason. We're like Danny DeVito in Twins. All the talent and originality went into the other podcasts. All the crap that was left over...went into what you listen to on this show. We talk about the latest movies in MARVEL like Spider-Man: No Way Home, Thor: Love and Thunder, Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. DC movies like The Batman, The Flash, Black Adam. And all the STAR WARS movies. But we also cover other blockbusters and don't shy away from indie films as well. We breakdown and discuss new trailers for upcoming movies. And we got you covered in television with shows like Moon Knight, The Boys, Umbrella Academy, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Cobra Kai, Stranger Things, The Mandalorian, Halo, The Last of Us, She-Hulk, Hawkeye, Loki, Secret Invasion Ironheart, Ms. Marvel, The Book of Boba Fett, Peacemaker, The Walking Dead and more. We love to review the first episodes of most shows and let you know if it's worth your time. So strap yourself in and have a good time! Strap yourself in? Really? Just listen. No straps required. Unless you're into that sort of thing.
