Description

Dave Campfield is a filmmaker, plays Caesar in the comedy team, 'Caesar & Otto', and hosts the Troma Now Podcast. On the basis of his first script, Dave Campfield won over a Hollywood agent. However, while receiving across the board positive reviews from the studios, the script remained limbo. Having grown disheartened with Hollywood gridlock, Campfield opted to go it alone and produce a feature himself. That film, Dark Chamber, had a successful run in the film festivals, and was picked up for distribution by Pop Cinema. Campfield is currently readying his next production, a psychological horror entitled Fear the Reaper which already placed amongst the finalists at a previous Slamdance Horror screenwriting competition. In this episode we chat how Dave Campfield's college no longer exists, the worst on set experiences including someone pulling a knife on a 1st AD, getting work with Troma, creating his own movies, and tons more. PRE - SHOW NOTES— Game Over is the TV pilot I shot several years ago about 5 employees working at a video game store struggling to get to the next level in their lives.Tagline: In life there is no reset buttonThe goal is to get a lot of eyeballs on this so if you know anyone that’d be interested please share this with them.— Game Over – Making a TV Pilot – The blog post with all of the behind the scenes details about making, Game Over.— How NOT to make a TV Pilot – My interview with Alex Ferrari at Indie Film Hustle— Backstage –  Use code dbcast at checkout when posting a casting call for a FREE basic listing— Dave Bullis Podcast Filmmakers Group on Facebook – a FREE filmmaking group I made on Facebook.— Shopping for the holidays on Amazon?
