There’s a skill set, learning how to read a prompt or how to deal with guests among other trainable skills. You change who you are depending on who you're talking to, in order to survive in that situation. I'm not there because I'm the show or I'm the production company. I have one job. To make you win. If you win, if you succeed, my ex-wives eat. My ex-wives are very hungry women. So it’s important to me that I make everybody I work with success. There's a big difference between having a sense of humor and beginning with a joke. And a lot of people are told to first begin with a joke - ‘Hey, get them smiling, get them laughing’ - And it's the worst thing you can do. It's not about you. It's never about you. Every great storyteller knows that every story they tell is about one thing- the person they're talking to - It's about getting that person to react and you're going to change how you tell that story depending on who you're talking to. From my experience working for over 3 decades, I have formulated tools and techniques for people to create a certain kind of loyalty and trust with their audience when they’re on the stage.
