Broadway is back and so is the New York City real estate market. According to major online publications, “The first half of 2021 experienced a record-breaking number of residential contracts signed.” And…it has not stopped since! Word on the street is that the rental market is just as busy with lines to see apartments and bidding wars driving up costs.At the beginning of the pandemic, it looked as if New York City would potentially be making a major shift in the housing market, as many left the city in search for more space. This would ultimately shift the NYC housing market, creating a drop in demand and contribute to an overall decrease in housing prices across NY. This major shift would allow for more artists, creatives, and young people to filter in at more reasonable entry costs. However, that no longer seems the case as the shift back to the city greatly increased, but not to worry as there’s always opportunities somewhere here in the city. My two guests today, Real Estate experts from The Rosen Team, Starr Densford and Jordan White, share what they’ve seen in the market this year and where it’s going. It’s a very insightful interview on the lay of the land on the NYC real estate market and beyond.
