Tik Was on the Canadian National Team 2005-2008 for the Modern Pentathlon (Fencing, Freestyle Swimming, Showjumping, and A mixed- Shooting/Cross country running Event), he was also the winner of the Thoroughbred Makeover Freestyle in 2015 & 2018, and narrowly missed representing his home country of Canada for 3 Day Eventing. He is now also an author, recently publishing the book "In The Middle Are The Horsemen" in which he discusses his horsemanship philosophy and life journey.
