Description

ABOUT THIS EPISODE Tom Steinberg grew up in the rolling hills of Los Altos, California - Silicon Valley before it meant anything to the broader world. From Jesuit high school to Yale University to Stanford Business School, his secular academic credentials were top-notch, while his Jewish education lagged behind. A trip around the world - literally - sparked a journey that changed that balance, and ultimately led to a rich Jewish life of study and philanthropy. Along the road, he worked for the Tisch family - part owners of the New York Giants - and helped develop the brand new MetLife Stadium, among other projects. Tom also co-founded MEOR - for whom our host works - and was instrumental in its growth over his ten years as Chairman of the Board. This week's episode is dedicated to the annual MEOR National Charidy 4-to-1 matching campaign. You can participate at www.olamigiving.org/meormaryland on 12/10 or 12/11/19. For all dates thereafter, you can contribute at www.meormd.org/donate. -------------------- ABOUT THIS PODCAST Jews You Should Know introduces the broader community to interesting and inspiring Jewish men and women making a difference in our world.
