Growing up in New Hampshire to a Survivor mother and Lutheran father, Jeremy was culturally but not religiously educated. However, encountering "naked hostility" towards Israel while studying at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, he began learning Hebrew, visiting Israel and examining the intellectual underpinnings of his Jewish roots. Today, Jeremy England is an associate professor of physics at MIT, and one of the brightest young minds in the firmament of elite academia.
