Description
Welcome to Season 9, Episode 3, of the ParentingAces Podcast! With the Australian Open underway, what better time to talk about hydration and cramping? This week, we hear from Andy Blow, the founder of Precision Hydration, about why it's important to understand the content of sweat so we can hydrate properly to maximize performance.
I will be writing a more extensive article on ParentingAces.com about my experience with Precision Hydration's sweat testing. In the meantime, please check out the articles below from Andy's website. They will give you a ton of insight into why it's so important to understand cramping and sweating as well as ways to help your junior and college players avoid being waylaid as a result of improper hydration.
We also have a special discount for ParentingAces Premium Members at https://parentingaces.com/member-discounts/ so be sure to join (if you haven't already!) then check it out!
- Why do athletes suffer from cramp - Does having clear pee really mean you're well hydrated? - How to measure your sweat rate - How much dehydration can you tolerate before your performance suffers? As always, a big thank you to Morgan Stone, aka STØNE, for our NEW intro and outro music this season. You can find more of his music at SoundCloud.com/stonemuzic. If you’re interested in House Music, please be sure to check out his social media channels on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
